Bob - 10.3/9:13

Feels good to break into double digits. Various notes from the run:

1. Basically ran to Pacific Junction and back, although I looped through town a couple of times.
2. No wind in Glenwood, major wind at the river bottom.
3. Perfect temp, especially when downwind.
4. PJ couldn't be a bigger shithole. From what I saw, pitbulls, meth labs, and child molestors are equally represented, and all without leash.
5. Good pacing - 9:19 for the first 5.75, 9:04 coming back.

Great week overall for me, I like how I'm rolling into vacation with lots of momentum. I'll drink beer freely and without guilt.

  • I am going to write a paper on the correlation between elevation and shitty houses. Think about where all the crappy houses are; in Malvern by the old railroad tracks, in Glenwood by Keg Creek, all of Council Bluffs except the portion in the hills by the mall; all of Pacific Junction.
