Bob - The Race - 1:45:59 (8:01)

Woke up feeling a little worse than the day before - definately getting a cold. Popped some Alka Seltzer cold medicine, ate some pancakes, picked up Dad and drove to Lincoln.

Perfect weather - 49 degrees at the start, and no wind the entire race. Started at a comfy, but fast clip at 8:04 the first few miles. Dropped to 8:11 pace after the hill at mile 3, but worked it back down on the way to the running trail. After reaching the top of the hill at mile 9, and still at 8:09 pace, I knew I was on a PR pace. Ended up running the last 4 miles with another runner who was running the same pace I was, which helped push me a little. Finished at 8:01, or 1:45:59. Hopefully the chip time agrees with my GPS time.

Felt pretty exhausted after the race, I think I was on the edge of hitting a wall towards the end.

My previous PR was 1:46:14.

That's it for me and the ol' blog....

UPDATE - My official chip time is 1:46:01.
