Chuck - 15.0 - 7:55

San Francisco. One of the things I was looking forward to being in San Francisco was going for a run. It was really slow going at first as I left at 5:00 and there were a lot of people on the sidewalks. After I got to the bay it got a lot better. After awhile I could see the Golden Gate Bridge. Somehow I couldn't justify turning around when I was so relatively close. Before I knew it took me an hour to get to the base of the bridge. The way back was full of other runners. Kind of neat, and something you don't get in a smaller city like Omaha. People were also wearing a lot more clothing than I was. I suppose 60 degrees is not that warm here, but when you come from a foot of snow it's beautiful. Ended the run getting to my hotel on Nob Hill; steep, steep, steep. I disgusted all of the rich people in the lobby when I came in completely drenched in sweat. As I got on the elevator I realized that I also had blood stains on the nipples. That would probably be the reason they were staring and pointing.

  • You're really in San Francisco? I can't remember if you told me and I just forgot.

  • I don't want to let your feat of running back to back 15 milers go unnoticed. You should think of pushing for the full marathon.
